League News
13th July 2010...  Rift House recreation ground...
Further to the article in the Hartlepool Mail on 30th June, the league secretary has been in discussion on the proposals. We have been assured that there will be no changes to the current pitch usage procedures.  A representative will be present at our first league meeting on Wednesday 04th August to update clubs on the plans for Rift House.

12th July 2010...  Handbook details slip / Player registrations
Club secretaries are reminded that the handbook details form, which was sent out attached to the June AGM agenda, must be returned by Sunday 18th July. To date only a third of clubs have submitted these forms, which will not make printing of the handbooks feasable in time for the August meeting.

A list of all players registered as at Sunday 11th July and a list of registrations not processed until registration fees are paid have been posted on the player/transfer information section.  Go to registered player list and witheld registrations for details.

10th July 2010...  Player registrations / insurance
We will be sending a list of all players registered by Sunday 11th July to Durham FA on Monday 12th July. Durham will then send invoices to clubs for insurance fees for players registered at that time. Players are permitted to play in friendlies and the Gordon Muir Memorial Trophy competition, providing their registration has been submitted to the league. As additional players are registered we will send the information to Durham FA.

01st July 2010...  Rift House Recreation Ground
We are aware of an article in todays Hartlepool Mail, regarding the proposal to lease out Rift House Recreation Ground to Hartlepool College of FE on a 25 year basis.  The league secretary has been advised of this article and will follow it up in the coming weeks. Please do not contact him about this matter at the present time.

10th April 2010...
We have been asked by some clubs about the situation regarding promotion/relegation issues at the end of the season, especially since 2 clubs have resigned from the league (Seaton in the Premier and 3 Lions in Division 1)
Rule 12 (i)  stated "Should one or more teams withdraw from any one Division after the fixtures have commenced an equal number of teams to those withdrawing in that Division shall not be automatically relegated."
However the above is subject to rule 1(b) which states " At the Annual General Meeting or a Special General Meeting called for the purpose, a majority of the delegates present shall have power to decide or adjust the compilation of the divisions at their discretion. When necessary this Rule shall take precedence over Rule 12."

Therefore the final decision on the number of teams relegated/promoted will be made at the Annual General Meeting, where the constitution of the league for the 2010-11 season will be determined. This will depend on any further resignations and new clubs elected to the league.

For this purpose tables will show the top 2 as in the promotion area and the bottom 2 in the relegation area.
